Hazarganji blast: CM Balochistan calls high-level meeting
The cabinet approved some important decisions to review and reinforce the security measures.
QUETTA (Dunya News) - Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Abdul Razzaq Cheema announed in the high-level meeting to accelerate the investigation against terrorists’ hideouts and their preservers regarding the bomb blast in Hazarganji on Friday.
Earlier today, a bomb took off at the fruit and vegetable market in Quetta’s Hazarganji area resulting in at least 20 casualities including one Frontier Corps (FC) soldier, shopkeepers, businessmen and citizens.
After the incident, Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan called for a high-level meeting about peace and security measures. Balochistan home minister Zia Ullah Langove, cabinet’s ministers, additional inspector generals (IG) and other senior officials attended the meeting.

DIG Quetta briefed the meeting about the horrific incident. The cabinet approved some important decisions to review and reinforce the security measures throughout the province. The meeting decided that further action would be taken against the terrorists.
Solidarity, condolence and sympathy were shared as immediate financial aid was announced to the affected families by the provincial government.
Immediate installation of CCTV cameras in Hazarganji market and other public places was announced today.
