Khawaja Izharul Hasan sustains critical injuries in accident near Karachi's Toll Plaza
Khawaja and his three guards were rushed to a hospital for medical attention.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) senior leader Khawaja Izharul Hasan on Sunday sustained critical injuries in a road accident near Karachi’s Toll Plaza.
Sources familiar with the matter told the media that Khawaja and his three guards were shifted to a hospital for medical attention.
Later, his condition was said to be out of danger, however he suffered injuries on his back, chest and head. Reports of his CT scan and X-ray determined that he sustained head injury. Condition of one of his guards has been told ‘critical’.
The accident occurred while he was returning from Ghotki after meeting Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, who had been in the town to address a public gathering yesterday.
MQM-P leader Amir Khan said Hasan’s bodyguard was travelling in the car behind him and was also hit. More damage occurred when the second car hit from behind.”
In 2017, Hasan escaped an assassination attempt in which two people, including a policeman, were killed.
