ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry on Saturday asked whether former premier Nawaz Sharif’s primary concern was getting himself release from the prison or the last week of the bail granted to him is being awaited.

He took to Twitter, and stated that it was fourth day of his release and still he was not admitted to a hospital.

Furthermore, he suggested a ‘solution’ as a way out for Sharif through a plea bargain – a provision which is contained within Section 25 in the NAB Ordinance, 1999.

“You were honoured by the general public thrice; return their [people] money,” he said.

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court granted bail to former premier Nawaz Sharif for six weeks against a surety bond of Rs5 million in a petition filed on medical grounds in Al-Azizia corruption reference; however, with a restriction that he cannot leave the country.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Imran Khan reiterated his government’s resolve not to forgive the leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League-N and Pakistan Peoples Party unless they pay back the looted public money.

“I challenge you today. Do whatever you want to do, get united or anything else. We will not leave you. This nation will not pardon you. You have only one way out – pay back public money, then we will spare you,” the prime minister remarked addressing a public gathering in Ghotki, the industrial city of Sindh province.

The prime minister said whenever the government launched accountability, the opposition started propaganda of threat to democracy. It was not democracy but corruption under threat, he added.

He said in the past, both Sharif and Zardari were labeling each other as corrupt but now they were getting united against the government.
