Bilawal demands release of arrested PPP workers
We will continue to raise voice against injustices.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday said that the government’s behaviour is undemocratic.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Bilawal while condemning the undemocratic behaviour of the government said that he didn’t give call for protest, adding that the party workers were peaceful.
The PPP chairman said that the party workers were protesting peacefully but they were baton-charged and arrested several party workers.
Bilawal demanded the government to immediately release the peaceful party workers, adding that the PPP would be forced to take steps if their workers are not released.
The PPP chairman said: “We respect rule of law and judiciary but this is not NAB’s case. It is a joke that I am being summoned by the anti-graft watchdog.”
“We will continue to raise voice against injustices,” he added.
Earlier, addressing the party workers after appearing before the NAB team, he vowed to repeal every black law through constitution.
The PPP chairman pronounced that he is not afraid of the incumbent dummy government and will fight against it. Bilawal said he is the son of Benazir Bhutto and is standing firm on the vision of his grandfather Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
Bilawal Bhutto said PPP believes in the supremacy of the constitution. “I was summoned in the case filed when I was just one year old,” he said.
Bilawal added that Pakistan Peoples Party will continue to raise voice against the banned outfits and demanded to oust three ministers over contacts with illegal groups.
It is pertinent here to mention that the NAB had summoned Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Asif Ali Zardari to hand over a questionnaire comprising 124 questions to interrogate them in the fake bank accounts case.
Both leaders were allowed to go after the bureau recorded their statements.
