ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Army on Saturday shot down Indian spying quadcopter in Rakhchikri Sector along the Line of Control (LoC), according to the Director General ISPR, Major General Asif Ghafoor.

Last month, India, in its blatant act of aggression, violated Pakistan’s airspace while accusing Pakistan of the Pulwama attack on Feb. 14. As a response, Pakistan shot down two Indian fighter jets and captured an Indian pilot Abhinandan Varthaman, who was later released on March 1 as a “peace gesture” by Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Since then, India has been constantly violating the ceasefire along the LoC.

Pakistan has repeatedly offered dialogue and resolution of Kashmir dispute through negotiations. However, it seems beleagueredIndian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is risking regional peace and security for gaining public support ahead of upcoming general elections.
