NA body suspends authorities of MD PTV, summons his salary details
Fawad Chaudhry also briefed the committee about Media Regulatory Authority.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Assembly Standing Committee on Information on Tuesday suspended the authorities of Pakistan Television Network (PTV) Managing Director Arshad Khan and summoned details of his salary and perks.
The Committee held its meeting in Islamabad with Mian Javaid Lateef in chair.
The members of the committee expressed displeasure over the absence of the MD PTV and while suspending Arshad Khan’s authorities summoned details of his salary and perks.
Expressing sympathy with her incumbent counterpart, former minister for information and broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the PTV MD directly briefs the PM Office and the federal minister has become completely helpless.
Fawad Chaudhry also briefed the committee about Media Regulatory Authority, however, the agreement could not be reached for the formation of the Authority.
