Intermittent rain inundates Balochistan.
QUETTA (Dunya News) – Intermittent rains have inundated parts of Balochistan and flood alerts have been issued for Quetta, Zhob, Sibi, Kalat, Makran and Nasirabad, Dunya News reported on Monday.
The citizens have been advised not to go near waterways. A fresh westerly wave is currently affecting Balochistan and is likely to persist over upper parts of the country till Monday night.
Weather of Islamabad, Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Peshawar and other cities turned chilly after rain. Drizzling in Sindh has also been reported.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), widespread rain/thunderstorm (with isolated heavy falls) associated with gusty winds (snowfall over hills) is expected on Monday in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore, Faisalabad divisions), Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. Cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country. Heavy rain may trigger landslides in Malakand, Hazara divisions, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir.
