Pakistan supports giving peace a chance: Fawad Ch
Fawad said that no religion teaches violence, adding that there is no room for extremism in Islam.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Wednesday said that Pakistan supports giving peace a chance as no one of us is desirous of war.
Addressing a conference in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has also mentioned in his address to the nation that initiating war is easy but it will go beyond calculations.
The minister said that sane voices are coming from India that there should be no war to gain political objectives. He said today #saynotowar became a top trend on social media in India.
He expressed the hope that peace will prevail, which will be in the best interest of both the countries and the world.
Fawad went on to say that no religion teaches violence, adding that there is no room for extremism in Islam.
“Pakistan has successfully tackled irregular conflicts by rendering over 70,000 lives, which indicates our society s strong resilience,” he said.
He said Pakistan has defeated terrorism and now it will stand successful in tackling the issue of extremism.
