Fire erupts at garment factory in Karachi
Firefighters from across the city are busy in extinguish the third degree inferno.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - A fire erupted at a garment factory situated Gabool Town area of New Karachi on Tuesday which spread very quickly and engulfed a large portion to the building, Dunya News reported.
Fire brigade vehicles reached the spot after getting information. Fire brigade officials at the site declared it a third degree inferno and called in firefighters from across the city to participate in rescue work and bring the fire under control.
The fire brigade officials have also declared emergency at all the water hydrants in the city. Sources said that the fire fighters are facing difficulties in their rescue operation due to narrow streets in New Karachi Industrial Area. No loss of life was reported in the incident till filing of this report.
