Parliament, democracy can't hinder accountability, says Shafqat Mahmood.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood Thursday said parliament or democracy cannot hinder the process of accountability.

The federal minister bashed the opposition while addressing the National Assembly session. “The opposition parties say National Accountability Bureau (NAB) law is ‘black law.’ Why didn’t they remove it during their own ten-year tenure?” he said.

Shafqat Mahmood added that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders should raise slogans against their own leadership.

The opposition recorded their protest by wearing black bands during the session.

Before Shafqat Mahmood, PPP leader Khursheed Shah addressed the NA session and said only political leaders are being held accountable.
