Suspects abducted key witness in Naqeeb case, alleges investigation officer
Officer said that all the witnesses can be in trouble if the court wont dismiss bails.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Dr Rizwan, investigation officer of Naqeebullah murder case, on Saturday has told the court that the suspects have abducted the sole eye witness of the incident.
During the hearing of a petition seeking cancellation of Rao Anwar and others’ bail, the officer said that all the witnesses can get into trouble if the court won’t dismiss bails of the suspects.
It is to be mentioned here that police had fatally shot Naqeebullah Mehsud, 27, during a raid on what they described as a "terrorist hideout" in eastern Karachi last year.
Naqeebullah’s killing had sparked a social media outcry, as his family members had reject claims by authorities that he was a member of the Tehreek-e-Taliban, saying he was an innocent aspiring male model.
Banned outfits Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander, imprisoned in Karachi Central Jail, Qari Ahsan also had said that he never heard of any operative named Naqeebullah Mehsud.
