SC to announce verdict on Faizabad sit-in case today
A two-member SC bench had reserved the judgment on Nov 22, 2018 in respect of Faizabad sit-in case.
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan will announce reserved judgment in case pertaining to suo motu notice on Faizabad sit-in staged by the Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), today (Wednesday).
On November 22, Supreme Court had reserved verdict in a suo motu case pertaining to Faizabad sit-in staged by Tehreek-e-Labbaik (TLP) in 2017 against controversial changes in lawmakers’ oath.
A two-member bench of the apex court comprising Qazi Faez Isa and Justice Mushir Alam had reserved the judgment on Nov 22 in respect of the Faizabad sit-in case.
Notices regarding the verdict have been issued to attorney general of Pakistan (AGP), Islamabad Inspector General of Police (IGP), secretary interior, secretary defence, and Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) secretary.
