FM Qureshi arrives in Oman on two-day visit
Matters relating to bilateral relations will come under discussion.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Tuesday arrived in Muscat, Oman on a two-day visit to the country.
During the visit, the foreign minister will hold meetings with Omani Prime Minister and Foreign Minister as well as high officials of the country.
During the meetings, matters pertaining to enhance cooperation in various sectors between the two countries will be discussed and both sides will also sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Matters relating to bilateral relations and international affairs will also come under discussion.
Earlier, talking to media in Islamabad prior to his departure for Oman, the FM Qureshi said that he will represent Pakistan in the meeting of Pak-Oman Joint Ministerial Commission. Apart from foreign ministers of both countries, representatives of various departments will also attend the meeting.
He said Oman is an important country of the region and Pakistan and Oman enjoy long-term and friendly relations.
The foreign minister said Pakistan will continue its positive role for regional peace and stability. He said he will take the Omani leadership into confidence regarding situation in Afghanistan.
He said he will also meet with Pakistani diaspora living in Oman.
