Dense fog blankets plain areas in Punjab
Motorway police have directed drivers to be careful while driving and avoid unnecessary travelling.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Dense fog has blanketed several cities of Punjab on night between Wednesday and Thursday, badly disrupting the road traffic, Dunya News reported.
Traffice flow at the National Highway was also disrupted as thick fog was also reported in other cities of Punjab including Manga Mandi, Pattoki, Rahim Yar Khan, Sadiqabad, Habibabad, Akhtarabad, Renala Khurd, Okara, Sahiwal, Mian Channu, Khanewal, Basti Maluk, Lodhran, Bahawalpur and Ahmadpur Sharqia.
The Motorway sections from Lahore to Kala Shah Kaku and Multan to Khanewal were shut down due to poor visibility.
The Motorway police have appealed the drivers to use GT Road for travel. The Motorway police have also urged the drivers to drive slowly and switch on fog lights. They also requested people to stay home and avoid unnecessary travelling.
