ECP announces schedule for by-election on Senate seat from Balochistan
The ECP has appointed Election Commissioner Balochistan as Returning Officer.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Election of Pakistan in Thursday announced the schedule for by-election on Senate’s general seat from Balochistan which fell vacant due to death of Sardar Muhammad Azam Khan.
The polling for the general seat of Senate from Balochistan will be held on January 14, 2019 at the Balochistan Assembly.
According to the ECP, the intending candidates can file nomination papers on December 27 from 9:00AM till 4:00PM with the returning officer. The scrutiny of the nomination papers will completed on 31 December and the last date for filing appeals against acceptance or rejection of nomination papers is January 2, 2019.
The last date for disposal of appeal by the tribunal is January 4 and the last date of withdrawal of candidature is January 6. The ECP has appointed Election Commissioner Balochistan as Returning Officer.
