Closure of CNG stations revs up transport fares

Transport fares have been increased due to closure of CNG stations in Punjab.

Transport fares were increased by 25-30 percent in Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and several other cities of Punjab as most of the CNG stations across the province were observing strike on the appeal of the All Pakistan CNG Association.Transporters in Multan increased the fares for Bahawalpur from Rs 150 to Rs 230, Muzaffargarh from Rs 70 to Rs 100, Khanewal from Rs 80 to Rs 120 and Dera Ghazi Khan from Rs 160 to Rs 240.Fares for rickshaw, vans and wagons have also been increased in Lahore, Faisalabad and Rawalpindi.
