Attock: Bid to smuggle arms from KP to Punjab foiled
Police foiled a bid to smuggle large quantity of arms from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Punjab on Monday.
ATTOCK (Dunya News) – Police foiled an attempt to smuggle large quantity of arms from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to Punjab on Monday, Dunya News reported.
According to ASP Azhar Khan, police officials from Ringo Police Station conducted a raid on a tip-off in Kalo Dhab area near Attock and recovered huge cache of arms from a car during search.
Police sources said that 31 pistols, two Kalashnikovs, one repeater, dozens of magazins and thousands of cartridges were recovered from the car hidden in its secret cavities.
Police have also arrested two accused, Asad and Abdul Wahab, and registered a case. Further investigation is ongoing.
