Unidentified people killed three employees of the Water Board in Mehmoodabad area of Karachi.

The death toll during the last two days has reached eight. According to police, Asif, Naeem and Muneer were performing their duties of population consensus in Mehmoodabad when three unidentified people opened fire on them, killing them on the spot. A passer-by was also injured in the incident. Shops were closed as violence spread in the area after the killings. According to Dr Seemi Jamali of the Jinnah Hospital, the victims were the members of the MQM.
