PM Imran for provision of indiscriminate justice
The prime minister directed to prepare a special package for Islamabad
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday while expressing regret said that only poor people are punished in our system while the crimes and misdoings of the influential lot are overlooked.
He said this while presiding over a high-level meeting to discuss matters pertaining to affairs of federal capital.
During the meeting, Secretary Interior briefed the participants about overall situation, law and order and ongoing operation against land mafia.
On the occasion, the prime minister directed to prepare a special package for Islamabad and also decided to form a coordination committee to launch an operation against land mafia and drug dealers.
The committee would be headed by Secretary Interior, while Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Ali Nawaz Khan, Member National Assembly Raja Khurram Nawaz will guide the committee.
The prime minister went on to say that no land mafia will be tolerated and an operation will be launched against all those who are involved in illegal land grabbing.
PM Imran Khan also asked Inspector General of Police (IGP) for proposals to improve the performance of Islamabad police.
He expressed the determination to provide justice to all citizens without any discrimination. “The PTI government will change this tradition and pattern of governance,” Khan said.
