Land mafia hampers anti-encroachment operation in Rawalpindi
During the peak hours, people face more traffic congestion and disruption.
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – The residents of Rawalpindi are fed up with the encroachments in the city as Rawalpindi Development Authority failed to carry out effective operation.
The land mafias hampered the anti-encroachment operation while large number of encroachments is creating problems for the citizens especially in the area of Municipal Corporation and Chaklala Cantonment Board (CCB).
The encroachments and street venders alongside the busiest roads and footpaths cause path blockage and during the peak hours, people face more traffic congestion and disruption.
Despite the orders of High Court and Punjab government, Rawalpindi Development Authority has failed to take action against land mafias, complained citizens.
The residents have demanded government to take notice of the situation and launch operation against the encroachers.
