Real story behind Buzdar's journey to Punjab CM emerges

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Renowned analyst and anchorperson Hamid Mir on Saturday—in Dunya News programme Tonight with Moeed Pirzada—unfolded interesting events regarding journey of self-effacing Sardar Usman Buzdar from an introvert lawmaker to the Punjab chief minister.
Mir also quashed away the popular conspiracy theory that Usman Buzdar was front man of Jehangir Tareen, a close aide of Imran Khan. Mir added that appointment of Buzdar as CM was a ‘bombshell’ for Tareen too.
“In groups, Imran Khan was holding interviews of the candidates aspiring to become Punjab CM. A lawmaker—who wanted to become CM—took Usman Buzdar with him merely for the sake of company. All other candidates were giving arguments and making tall claims whereas Buzdar was sitting mum in one corner. When interviews concluded, Buzdar approached Imran Khan and stated that he wanted to discuss a trivial matter.
Buzdar told Khan that he hail from a small town Barthi where animals and humans drink water from the same pond, resulting in health complications. He said, There is no hospital in my area. It is my humble request to you to erect one there . Upon hearing this, Khan asked Buzdar to sit down and started his interview. Finally, Khan picked Buzdar as Punjab CM”, narrated Mir.
