All public and private educational institutes in Punjab and KP will remain closed today (Thuesday).
LAHORE (Dunya News) - All public and private educational institutes in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) will remain closed today (Thursday) in the wake of protests after the Supreme Court acquitted Aasiya Bibi in the blasphemy case.
The decision of closing of the educational institutes in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been taken in view of the security situation in the country.
According to Punjab government spokesperson, the intermediate paper scheduled for today has been postponed. The new date for the paper will be announced later.
Earlier, All Pakistan Private Schools Association has announced its decision to close schools on Thursday in the wake of protests against the acquittal of Asia Bibi.
In a statement, the association said any decision to reopen schools on Friday will be taken in light of the security situation across the country.
