Nawaz is still holding consultations with PML-N workers over a potential alliance with PPP.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari have yet to decide on their meeting.

Sources close to the development said the PML-N supremo is still holding consultations with party workers over a potential alliance with the PPP and a final decision will be taken later.

In his bid to unite the opposition parties, chief of his own faction of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman had a telephonic conversation with Nawaz Sharif.

Fazl while informing Nawaz of the former’s meeting with Zardari suggested that the opposition parties should unite “at the earliest in their bid to give tough time” to the government.

Nawaz Sharif on his part said he would decide on any future strategy after consulting with his party members.
