Registration for Naya Pakistan Housing project begins

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The forms for registration at Naya Pakistan Housing project can be obtained from designated offices of National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) from today (Monday).

According to details, the forms can be submitted from October 22 to December 21. 

Addressing the inaugural ceremony of Naya Pakistan Housing Authority Registration Center in Islamabad, Minister of State for Interior said the initiative would help enhance public trust in the state institutions and create job opportunities besides providing affordable shelter to the masses.

An applicant needs to provide his/her complete information including name, Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) number, monthly income and residential address for registration, he added.

Initially, 0.5m low cost houses will be built under the project.

In the first phase of the project, Faisalabad, Sukkur, Quetta, Swat in addition to Muzaffarabad, Islamabad and Gilgit have been selected for proportionate share of all provinces in the soft launch of the project.

Earlier, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan said that the target of the government is to ensure provision of five million low cost houses for the under-privileged in five-year duration, adding that the project will bring about prosperity in the country.

“It will also attract local and foreign investments and stimulate about forty related industries,” he said adding that the project will help around 40 industries to grow.
