PEMRA refutes blockage of Geo Supers transmission

According to a statement issued by PEMRA, Geo TV was levelling baseless allegations against the government and the PEMRA regarding blocking of its Geo Super channel. It was said in the statement that Geo itself disconnected its transmission and the cable operators were not receiving the signal of Geo Super.The statement further said that as per law and the permission the channel has to uplink from Dubai not from Pakistan and PEMRA has no technology to block the channel from satellites.The PEMRA statement concluded that it was all malicious and baseless propaganda to malign the government and PEMRA.
