ECP says polling agents must be present during vote counting process
ECP ordered officials concerned to follow the electoral code.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Polling agents must be present inside polling stations at the time of vote counting process, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) said Sunday.
The electoral commission in its directives to the provincial election commissioners said polling agent of every candidate must be present at the time of counting process.
It also ordered officials concerned to follow the electoral code, adding that only those already present inside the polling stations will be permitted to cast their votes after 5pm.
By-elections are being held on 11 National Assembly seats and 24 provincial assembly seats including 11 seats for Punjab Assembly, nine for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and two each for Sindh and Balochistan.
