Rahim Yar Khan (Dunya News) -The Election Commission spokesperson on Sunday said that polling will be declared null and wide in the constituencies where turn out emerged less than 10 percent during the By-election.

The Elections Act, 2017 requires the ECP to declare an election null and void if women’s turnout in a constituency is less than 10 percent of its total polled votes.

In a statement, the Election Commission of Pakistan announced that the ratio of women voters in Rahim Yar Khan s constituency PP-261 is extremely low, if the ratio remains less than 10%, voting result will be canceled.

However, The spokesperson further added that the number of women voters in the circle is 79557, but the vote casting ratio is extremely low.

Apart from this, The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced that polling time will not be extended in any constituency.

Polling will end at 5pm as per schedule. However, voters present inside the premises of the polling station when the time ends will be allowed to cast their vote.

Dunya News further reported that ECP has received another complaint that not a single woman cast her vote at Zarameyana polling station in PK-61 Nowshera.
