ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Ch on Wednesday stated that federal govt has penned a letter to Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) aimed at withdrawing its notification of suspending transfer of Punjab Inspector General (IG) Mohammad Tahir.
He was talking to media here in Islamabad today.
Fawad claimed that ECP had unlawfully halted transfer of Punjab IG.
On opposition’s protest against apprehension of Shehbaz Sharif, Fawad Ch vowed to take all corruption cases to their logical end. He said, “The cases of corruption against Shehbaz Sharif were not lodged by us. They [opposition] want to abscond accountability”.
Fawad made it overtly clear on bureaucracy that they would have to implement orders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led (PTI) federal govt. “Those who will not follow our orders will be forced to relinquish”.
He went on to say that a certain segment of the bureaucracy is still loyal with its personal commitment.
On approaching International Monetary Fund (IMF) for bailout package, Fawad apprised attendants that govt’s annual expenditures stand at whooping $28 bln.
