Law enforcement agencies personnel raid Omni Group offices in Karachi

The law enforcement agencies personnel seized some documents from Omni Group offices.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Law enforcement agencies personnel, dressed in plain clothes, raided the Omni Group offices situated near Hockey Stadium in Karachi on late Tuesday night, Dunya News reported.

Sources said that Rangers cordoned off the area before the raid and sealed all routes going to Omni Group offices.

The law enforcement agencies personnel examined important documents of Omni Group during the raid and seized documents from Admin and Finance rooms. The law enforcement agencies personnel also interrogated the staff present at the Omni Group offices.

Omni Group is owned by Anwar Majeed and his son Abdul Ghani Majeed who are under custody in the money laundering case.

Anwar Majeed, a close aide of former president Asif Zardari, and Abdul Ghani Majeed of the Omni Group are the prime accused in the Rs35 billion fake accounts case which is currently under investigation by the FIA.
