Punjab IG removed due to 'below par' performance: Fawad Ch

(Dunya News) – Federal minister for information and broadcasting Fawad Ch on Tuesday cited ‘below par’ performance of Punjab Inspector General (IG) as key reason behind his transfer.
He made these remarks in Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath.
“Punjab IG didn’t remove officials involved in Model Town massacre despite clear orders from Prime Minister Imran Khan”, asserted Fawad.
“We had contested elections on the promise of reforms. We want justice to be served to victims of Model Town incident”, Fawad was quoted as saying.
“Caretaker govt had appointed Tahir as Punjab IG. We are facing myriad problems with bureaucracy”, Fawad told Kamran.
