NAB was working in collusion with ruling with PTI, claimed Kakar.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The debate in upper House of the parliament took an ugly turn on Monday as Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz’s (PML-N) senator Usman Kakar hurled allegations at the ruling party that Shehbaz Sharif has been arrested at behest of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan.

Kakar went on to say that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was working in collusion with ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

“Even Nawaz Sharif [PML-N supremo] and her daughter Maryam Nawaz were subjected to revenge proceedings”, claimed fuming Kakar.

Responding to the grave allegations leveled by PML-N’s senator, foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi asserted that anti-graft watchdog is completely an independent institution. He accused opposition of politicizing issue of Shehbaz Sharif’s arrest in Ashiana Housing Scheme case.

“Opposition should have courage to listen the counter arguments as masses have right to know both sides of the picture”, Qureshi was quoted as saying.
