No role of govt in arrest of Shehbaz Sharif: Asad Umar
Shehbaz's arrest was made according to law, said Asad Umar.
ISLAMABAD (APP) - Federal Minister for Finance Asad Umar said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had no role in arrest of former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif’s arrest.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is an independent institution of the country, he stated while talking to a private news channel.
The arrest of Shehbaz Sharif, who involved in Ashiana Housing Scheme scam, was made according to law of the country, he added.
The minister said former PM Nawaz Sharif was released on the orders of court.
To a question about inflation, he said that the government is trying to tackle the issue of price hike.
