Treasury, Opposition nominate members for committee to probe rigging in election

Chairman Senate has received 10 names for the committee investigation the alleged election rigging.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Treasury and Opposition in the upper house of the parliament have nominated members for committee to probe alleged rigging in the 2018 general election.

Senate Chairman on Friday has received 10 names, five each from treasury and opposition, for the parliamentary committee investigation the alleged election rigging.

The members from treasury for the committee included Nauman Wazir, Azam Swati, Sarfraz Bugti, Muhammad Ali Saif and Hadayat Ullah Khan.

Opposition has given the names of Javed Abbasi and Asad Junejo of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Rehman Malik from Pakistan People’s Party, Usman Kakar of Paktunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) and Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri from JUI-F.
