A three-member Supreme Court bench, chaired by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Muhammad Iftikhar Chaudhry, heard the case about the Reko Diq mines project on Tuesday.The counsel for the Tethyan Company, Khalid Anwar, told the court that the company had done with its exploration work and according to the agreement, it was his client’s right to get the mining licence.The CJP said that Bloch people and the government had the basic right on Reko Diq resources. It will be better, if the Balochistan government takes the final decision about the project, he said.
