Time for Waziristan to flourish and progress: COAS
Gen Qamar Bajwa expresses satisfaction and directs for continued focus on stability operations
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday visited North Waziristan District (NWD).
In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS was briefed on security situation, border management, progress of development works and rehabilitation of TDPs in the district.
On the occasion, Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa expressed his satisfaction and directed for continued focus on stability operations and socio-economic development so as to achieve enduring peace.
While interacting with troops, he commended officers and men for their courage, dedication and spirit of sacrifice and said that we shall never allow the reign of terror to return.
The COAS said it is time for Waziristan and other new districts to flourish and progress.
