NACTA, SECP decide to restrict activities of welfare organizations

NACTA and SECP further added that non-profit organizations will have to declare their income

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) and Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) on Friday have decided to restrict the activities of all welfare organizations to stop money laundering and terrorist financing.

As per the documents obtained by Dunya News, welfare organizations will not be allowed to work at ambiguous project while their activities at sensitive, controversial, and specific places have also been restricted.

However, NACTA and SECP further added that non-profit organizations will have to declare their income sources for every activity and project, while transparency in overall financial matters will also be necessary.
