Mobile phone service to remain suspended in Sindh on 8th, 9th and 10th Muharram
The mobile phone services will remain suspended along the routes of Muharram processions.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Mobile phone service in all major cities of Sindh including Karachi will remain suspended on 8th, 9th and 10th of Muharram, Dunya News reported on Tuesday.
According to Sindh Home Department, mobile phone services will remain suspended along the routes of Muharram processions and other sensitive installations from 7:00am till 12:00midnight in all major cities of the province.
Sindh Home Department further informed that the decision to suspend mobile phone service has been taken on the recommendation of law enforcement agencies.
Meanwhile, Home Secretary Sindh Qazi Abdul Kabeer while talking to Dunya News informed that the federal government has provided two helicopters for the monitoring of the Muharram processions.
