Farooq Sattar resigns from MQM-P's Rabita Committee

PTI wants me to contest the by-election on NA-247 from Alvi's seat, stated Sattar.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Farooq Sattar has on Thursday tendered resignation from membership of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan’s (MQM-P) Rabita Committee amid deepening rift.

As per details garnered, Sattar claimed he had tendered resignation due to personal reasons. On the other hand, Rabita Committee stated they haven’t yet received resignation of the Sattar.



Sattar has tendered resignation at time when rumors are rife that 59-year-old leader was all set to join echelons of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan.

“PTI wants me to contest the by-election on NA-247 from Alvi s seat”, Sattar was quoted as saying to close aides.
