Provision of basic rights to trangender community our first priority: CJP Nisar
Court wants resolution to transgender communitys issues, said the top judge.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Wednesday has said that ensuring basic rights to transgender community is our first priority.
A three-member bench conducted hearing of a case during which, the top judge directed to hire two transgenders in Supreme Court (SC).
He also issued notices to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government and non-governmental organizations working for human rights.
Court wants resolution to transgender community’s issues, he clarified.
Subsequently, the case has been adjourned for two weeks.
