Hamza said that PML-N would take to streets to protect the Punjab Local Government Act 2013.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Hamza Shahbaz, opposition leader in Punjab Assembly, presided over the Local Bodies convention was held at the Central Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Secretariat in Lahore on Monday

The convention was attended by mayors, deputy mayors, chairmen and vice-chairmen of district councils and municipal committees belonging to PML-N.

Addressing the convention, Hamza Shahbaz said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is trying to abolish the local government system in Punjab. He said that PML-N will resist any move against local government system in the province.

Hamza said that the PML-N would take to streets to protect the Punjab Local Government Act 2013.

Hamza Shahbaz further said that the PML-N candidate will emerge victorious in upcoming by-elections in National Assembly constituencies NA-124 and NA-131.
