PM, CJP dams fund receive Rs 2.062 bln by Sept 7
Out of total received funds of Rs 2.062 billion, overseas Pakistanis contributed Rs 88.67 million.
ISLAMABAD (APP) - The fund dedicated for the construction of Diamer Bhasha and Mohmand dams received over Rs 2.062 billion from various individuals and groups by September 7.
According to the latest update issued by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the “Supreme Court of Pakistan’s Diamer Bhasha and Mohmand Dams Fund” received Rs 52.72 million on September 7.
Out of total received funds of Rs 2.062 billion, the overseas Pakistanis contributed Rs 88.67 million while rest of amount was collected from within the country.
Meanwhile the SBP has announced through a circular, that in order to facilitate the donations/payments made to the Diamer Bhasha and Mohmand Dam Fund Account through payment cards (debit, credit or prepaid cards), it has been decided that all issuing and acquiring banks in Pakistan shall not charge any service fee including interchange fee, merchant discount rate, transaction fee etc. on such transactions.
