5.6 magnitude earthquake jolts parts of Punjab

No loss of life or property has been reported after the earthquake

LAHORE (Dunya News) – A moderate earthquake jolted several cities across Punjab, especially Lahore on Saturday.

According to the geological wing of PMD, tremour measured 5.6 on Richter scale were felt across Punjab and surrounding areas.

The epicentre of the earthquake is Northern areas and the depth of the quake was estimated to be 40 kilometers.

Tremors were also felt several cities of Punjab including Sheikhupura, Pakpattan, Hafizabad, Chiniot, Multan, Kasur, Pattoki, Shahkot, Chunian, Manga Mandi.

No loss of life or property has been reported after the earthquake.

The earthquake spread panic among the local people and they rushed out of their homes, shops and other buildings reciting verses of the Holy Quran.
