8 killed, 5 injured in van, trailer collision near Jamshoro
A speeding van collided with a trailer near Jamshoro on Friday, killing at least eight people.
JAMSHORO (Dunya News) – At least eight people were killed and five others were wounded when a speeding van collided with a trailer at the Indus Highway near Pitaro Toll Plaza in Jamshoro of Friday, Dunya News reported.
According to details, a van going to Sehwan from Karachi collided with a trailer coming from opposite direction near Pitaro Toll Plaza in Jamshoro, killing eight persons, including women and children, on the spot while five people were also injured in the accident.
All the deceased were residents of Memon Goth area of Karachi who were going to Sehwan Sharif. Four of the deceased were identified as Abdul Hameed Memon, Abdul Ghani Memon, Danial Memon and Muhammad Zubair.
Police and rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the injured to Liaquat Medical University Hospital, Jamshoro.
