Committee to meet today for Zilhaj moon sighting
As per climate record, the weather is expected fair/partly cloudy in most parts of the country.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee will convene a meeting today (Sunday) for the sighting of Zilhaj moon.
The meeting headed by chairman Mufti Muneebur Rehman will be held in Karachi’s Meteorological Department.
It will be attended by committee members and authorities of concerned departments. The final announcement regarding the moon sighting will be made by the chairman.
According to Met office, the new moon of Zilhij, 1439 AH will be born on crossing conjunction point at 14-59 PST on 11-08-2018.
Astronomical parameters of new moon and average cloud amounts at Pilot Balloon Observatories of Pakistan Meteorological Department are attached herewith.
According to astronomical parameters, there is Fair Chance of sighting the new moon of Zilhij, 1439 AH on the evening of 12-08-2018 i.e. on 29th of Ziquad, 1439 AH.
