Summary Rains and hail storms in northern parts of the country lower temperature in plains areas.

After the rain and hail storms in northern Punjab, upper regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, temperature dropped in the flat lands of the country. On the other hand, temperature rose in central Sindh.According to the Meteorological Department of Pakistan, in the past 24 hours, 46 millimetres of rain was recorded in Balakot, 25 in Parachinar, 23 is Muzaffarabad and 17 millimetres of rain in Islamabad. In the Gujranwala division, a wind storm along with a light hail was reported. On the other hand, temperatures went up to 42 degree Celsius in several parts of Sindh.According to the Met Office, in the next 24 hours, weather is expected to remind dry in most parts of the country. Whereas, a thunder storm and light showers are expected in the several parts of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.
