Summary Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani says he accepted Indian invitation in the national interest.
Addressing to the cabinet, the prime minister said that Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh invited President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani to watch the ICC World Cup semi-final between Pakistan and India. He said his decision to go India was in the national interest.The two prime ministers are expected to discuss a whole range of bilateral matters on March 30 before their teams clash at the Mohali cricket ground.At the cabinet meeting, the prime minister thanked his Indian counterpart for extending an invitation to watch the match.He said it was also a timely opportunity for the two governments to show the world that the two nations could play together and sit and deliberate on issues of mutual importance.
