Joint opposition finalises candidates for PM, speaker
Liaquat Baloch said opposition will announce the names on election day in National Assembly.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Opposition parties will announce their candidates for the slot of prime minister, speaker and deputy speaker on the day of elections in the lower house.
This was decided in a meeting held at the residence of National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq that was attended by members of the join opposition on Friday.

The names will be announced on the election day in the National Assembly, he added.
Opposition parties during a multi-party conference presided over by Pakistan Muslim Leagiue-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday decided to take oath in parliament.
PPP leader Sherry Rehman said that all political parties had decided to take oath and inisted they would give the incoming government a tough time in parliament.
She said that all parties had reached consensus on various points and the opposition parties jointly decided that the opposition’s joint candidate for PM would be from the PML-N, while the opposition’s joint candidate for NA speaker and deputy speaker would be from PPP and MMA respectively.
