Jahangir Tareen meets MQM-P leadership, invites to join federal government

PTI delegation met MQM-P in Bahadurabad.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen met Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leadership in Karachi and invited them to join the federal government.

In order to gain support for formation of federal government, PTI delegation met MQM-P in Bahadurabad. On the occasion, MQM-P conversed over the basic problems regarding the progress of Karachi and Sindh.

After the meeting, Tareen said during a press conference that the development of Karachi will be a priority for PTI. He told that MQM-P has been invited for inclusion in federal government.



MQM-P convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui maintained that both the parties share the same thought over all the issues.

He said that all the matters will be place before the Rabta Committee. Siddique hoped for paving new ways ahead. He demanded that MQM-P’s mandate should also be respected.

Meanwhile, PTI spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry has claimed to have secured majority in both Centre and Punjab and announced to form government.

Fawad stated that PTI has obtained support of as many as 168 lawmakers in National Assembly and 180 lawmakers in Punjab Assembly.

He said that Imran Khan will name Punjab Chief Minister, however, he avoided to disclose the name.

He further told reporters that Pakistan Muslim League Quaid’s (PML-Q) leaders Ch Shujat and Pervez Elahi called on PM-in-waiting Imran Khan at his residence in Bani Gala and pledged their alliance. “PML-Q will be part of coalition governments in Centre and Punjab”, he added.
