Elections 2018: DI Khan's female political workers now more proactive
Female party workers have become very proactive as Election Day approaches in DI Khan.
(WebDesk) – The upcoming General Elections have already proven to be an exciting game changer in various fields. Similarly, in Dera Ismail Khan, the elections have introduced a never before seen trend in the district. With the Election Day fast approaching, women in DI Khan have become proactive with regards to various political and intra-party activities.
Prior to 2018, women were not encouraged to take part in such activities as they were termed as both ‘dangerous’ and more ‘male-oriented’ but this time round the females of the district have proven to everyone that women are no less than men especially in politics.

In almost every corner meeting, Jalsa or other crowd gatherings, the female party workers are present to encourage other female supporters to help defy stereotypes and vie more and more in favor of their respective parties. With such a trend looming large in the district, one expects the percentage of female voters to cast vote in the upcoming elections to rise a fair bit.

Political analysts and experts have termed the great involvement of women in DI Khan election campaigns as a ‘positive and progressive socio-political trend’. Women of DI Khan have taken the election campaigns at hand to prove to the women of the other districts that they, too, can stand up and become more proactive to realize their due rights.
Whether the involvement of females can benefit the respective political parties of the region remains to be seen but one thing is for sure; Pakistan is definitely moving in the right direction.
