Ephedrine case: SC dismisses Hanif Abbasi's appeal against LHC verdict
Lawyer told that LHC had announced verdict on an irrelevant plea.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday has turned down Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hanif Abbasi’s plea against Lahore High Court (LHC) order to hold ephedrine case hearings on daily basis.
Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan heared the case during which, lawyer Kamran Murtaza told that LHC had announced verdict on an irrelevant plea and that his client has never asked for delay in the case.
LHC had ordered to complete the hearing until July 21, giving only five days to my client before elections, he added.
Meanwhile, Justice Azmat said that the top judge is not authorized to look into this matter. You should better file review petition in LHC, he added.
